Food production is the set of methods and techniques used to transform raw ingredients into food for consumption by humans. In order to meet the sensory quality, safety, nutrition, health, economy and novelty demanded of food products by consumers, it is necessary to improve food processing operations. There are plenty of job openings for candidates that pursue this course in India and abroad. They are in demand in different sectors and the opportunities for the growth are high as food industry is one of the highest developing sectors in today’s era.
Minimum Qualification Required: 10+2 (any stream)

Minimum Marks Required: Pass in class 12 Board Exams

Salary:


Generally after completing this course in hospitality management, are usually absorbed as a trainee. After successful completion of training/probation, they may be absorbed in positions with salaries between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20, 000. As one gains experience in the field, he / she can command higher salary for their hospitality management jobs.

Food production service workers may be employed at full-service and fast-food restaurants, cafeterias, schools, hospitals, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, storage facilities and farms.
